Experienced, enthusiastic and kind ballet teaching for nurseries & primary schools.
Angelina and her team of professional, enthusiastic and strongly qualified teachers run ballet lessons for children of all ages across London, including venues in Greenwich, Blackheath, Dulwich, Penge, Central London, Bromley and Eltham. In addition to open timetabled lessons, our teachers go directly into schools and nurseries to help children nurture their love of their arts, enjoy movement to music and find their confidence through performance and collaboration.
Finding their feet in ballet from an early age
Our school is IDTA accredited, and while nursery-level lessons are of course not graded, they have been designed to help students absorb and enjoy formative lessons in a format that will aid their discovery of the joy of ballet while preparing them to move on to higher levels as they grow older.
We are able to offer graded examinations from the age of 3+ if requested.
In the first instance, you can get in touch with us directly on [email protected] or call 07794201531, where we can help to put together an appropriate schedule for your nursery or school!
Teachers to motivate your children
Our teachers are all DBS checked and insured as standard, and each comes from a significant dance background, whether that be graduation from prestigious dance conservertoires or performance in internationally-acclaimed shows (often both!)
It has remained a policy of Angelina Jandolo Dance – which has now taught children and adults ballet for nearly a decade across London – to only employ teachers with impressive dance backgrounds, kind and approachable teaching style, and a proactive approach to motivating students.
A school with a 100% pass rate, teaching your children from the very beginning
We teach the IDTA exam syllabus to older children and adults, including UCAS recognised exams, and bear this in mind when working with nursery-and-primary-level children, providing structure, enjoyment and learning that they can take forward with them if they wish!
Primary and Nursery Ballet FAQs
How is payment arranged?
We offer two different means of booking teachers for nurseries & primary schools.
The most popular method is a flat fee of £45 per entire class, paid monthly by the school or nursery.
The alternative is parents paying Angelina Jandolo Dance their own term fees directly.
If you’re unsure what might be the best approach, give us a call to discuss further!
What age ranges do lessons start from?
We generally teach children from the age of 18 months for nurseries – these classes will engage children in movement, creativity, music and coordination.
For primary schools, we offer ‘preparatory’ level lessons to children from three-years-old. These classes are adapted to suit the age ranges respectively, but focus strongly on the foundations needed to learn ballet, including both technique and performance.
Will children need any specific clothing or equipment?
PE kit is sufficient for primary schools, or indeed any clothing children feel comfortable moving in. For those interested, we can of course arrange ballet shoes to be sold directly to the school or parents themselves.
Do you offer more than ballet?
Yes! We are able to teach tap, street dance and contemporary/jazz dance lessons should there be interest – if you would be interested in paying for a one-off taster lesson of these styles, please do get in touch.
Will the children put on a show?
If there are for instance school fairs or specific open days, or festive celebrations, we are of course happy to choreograph routines for the children to perform.
What about when the children get older?
Angelina Jandolo Dance has a timetable of numerous ballet grades and other dance styles in venues across London for those children who wish to continue their education. We can of course also offer graded lessons in your school should the need be strong enough.
Additionally, we are able to offer classes at different levels to ensure that children across a broad age range can pick the right class.
